Mark Brown, Chief Financial Officer. Mark has over 27 years of experience in finance at investment firms, specifically as CFO and Treasurer. Mark’s experience and expertise include many functions focusing on internal finance and fund accounting processes and controls. Most recently, Mark served as CFO for Joule Assets, and prior to that, Mark was CFO at Tiger Pacific Capital LP, a pan-Asia long/short equity hedge fund based in New York. Mark's engagements prior to Tiger Pacific Capital include CFO at GLS Capital, a London-based Global EM hedge fund, CFO of Strativarius Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund, and Treasurer for Goldman Sachs’ Hedge Fund Strategies Group. Mark holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
Peter Cassidy, Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Peter has over 12 years of experience in CFO roles for alternative asset managers based in New York. In addition, he has held positions with JP Morgan Asset Management, UBS Asset Management and AXA Insurance. Most recently Peter was CFO at StoneWater Capital, an emerging markets focused fund of funds manager based in New York. Peter’s breadth of experience includes fund formation and startups, fund finance/accounting, audit and risk management. Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University College Dublin, and qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in Dublin, Ireland.
Ling Marquardt, Director of Investor Relations & Chief Compliance Officer. Ling has spent her 10-year career focused on the development of operations, investor relations and compliance for alternative asset managers. She was most recently at Nexar Capital where she concentrated primarily on investor relations for the FoHF and volatility fund groups, working out of both Paris and New York. Prior to Nexar, Ling was an Associate Director at NewOak Capital where she managed the infrastructure build-out of the firm, and subsequently transitioned to the product side, concentrating efforts solely on the marketing of structured credit products. Ling began her career at CastleHill, a structured credit hedge fund, and prior to that, a family office and foundation. She holds a BA from Tulane University and a MBA in Finance with BGS honors from Baruch College.
David Michael, Chief Operating Officer. David has a 35 year career in securities trading and execution, including positions at Neuberger Berman, Reliance Insurance, Omega Advisors and Lehman Brothers. After spending 13 years as a partner at hedge funds CF Partners and Omega Advisors, David was instrumental in building a principle strategies group at Lehman from inception into a multi-billion dollar platform. David’s broad experience in execution services and trading/operational risk management brings substantial benefits to Elanus Capital’s operational capabilities. David holds a BA from Pace University.
